Friday, March 12th: Paul Durica, Pocket Guide to Hell Tours
Paul Durica, creator of Chicago walking tours that explore the 1893 Columbian Exposition and the infamous 1924 Leopold and Loeb case, holds a post-show discussion about Chicago's true-crime past. Durica takes your questions about famous cases and explores America's fascination with other people's tragedies.
Sunday, March 14th: Performance for the Hard of Hearing
As part of our continued effort to produce theatre for the diverse Chicago audience, Theatre Seven offers a performance of Mimesophobia for the hard of hearing, translated by a pair of ASL interpreters from Deaf Communication by Innovation. We are proud to welcome audiences of all hearing abilities to this performance.
Friday, March 19th: A Conversation with Playwright Carlos Murillo
Co-Head of Playwriting at DePaul, Carlos Murillo, joins us for a post-show conversation about his play, Mimesophobia. Carlos will help you decode his head-spinning script, as well as talk about the play’s creation and some of its themes: voyeurism, celebrity, and the American obsession with violence.
Friday, March 26th A History of Magic in Chicago
Magic Cabaret performers PT Murphy and David Parr are live and in-studio to discuss the vibrant, unknown history of magic in the Windy City. Murphy and Parr will improve your understanding of the magic described in Mimesophobia as well as open your eyes to an era when Chicago was known as "The Magic City."
Friday, April 2nd Postshow Celebrity
Be there when Theatre Seven of Chicago christens a brand new tradition: a closing weekend game of Celebrity with the audience invited to play along! Combining Password and Charades, Celebrity has long been a Theatre Seven post-show staple. Get in on the Closing Weekend fun, and help us celebrate a successful run of Mimesophobia.
